SINGING LESSONS
Most of my students are preparing to have a career, or are already working professionally in musical theater. As a SINGING TEACHER, it is my aim to teach my students to develop the natural singing voice so that they are able to endure long periods of rehearsals, as well as being able to perform up to eight shows a week and still remain vocally healthy.
Learning to use the body as an instrument, learning how to breathe in order to sustain a tone, using the muscles of the diaphragm (midriff) to control those tones, producing vowels and consonants and discovering and using resonance chambers in order to extend the vocal range and volume are just a few of the aims of my lessons.
VOCAL COACHING
As vocal coach for theater or television productions, it is my job to teach the student how to perform the song or role on which he or she is working. The student can already sing. Where to breathe, how to use the voice to interpret the text and how to make the song most effective using the student’s vocal technique are just some of the items on which I work.
As vocal coach for the following productions, Jimmy has had the opportunity to work with and influence many of the Netherland's leading artists.
